Tree Plantation Drive
Climate change in Pakistan has reached alarming levels due to massive deforestation. The absence of trees has disrupted the natural balance, causing extreme heat waves, irregular and destructive rainfall, and soil erosion. Scientifically, trees play a vital role in anchoring the soil and maintaining moisture in the atmosphere. Without them, the earth loses its grip, rainfall becomes erratic, and natural disasters like floods and droughts become more frequent and intense.
In response to this urgent crisis, a large-scale tree plantation drive is planned across Pakistan, with its initial phase focusing on Azad Kashmir. This initiative aims to restore the ecological balance, reduce carbon emissions, and bring back the natural harmony that sustains all life. Every tree planted is a step toward healing the land, reviving biodiversity, and protecting future generations from the harsh effects of climate change.
Through this plantation campaign, we envision a greener, healthier, and brighter Pakistan. Trees are not just a source of oxygen — they are the foundation of life and hope. By joining hands in this mission, we can rebuild our environment, restore nature’s rhythm, and pave the way for a sustainable future for all.

At Character Education Foundation (CEF), we are driving a Social Change Movement in Kashmir through five transformative programs. Each of these programs is designed to shape hearts, minds, and communities for generations to come.
Quran & Sunnah Program
Transforming Lives Through Quranic Education
Quran and Sunnah are the timeless and ultimate sources of guidance for a successful life. Today, connecting with them is more important than ever.
Quran and Sunnah Program (QSP) by Character Education Foundation (CEF) is an initiative bringing Quranic education to all students in government and private schools across AJ&K. Our curriculum includes Nazirah Quran, Fahm-ul-Quran, and Hifz with Understanding, encompassing recitation, translation, and comprehension. We also offer customized Quran courses for adults.
Using the revolutionary teaching method of Total Physical Interaction (TPI), QSP makes Quran learning accessible, easy, engaging, and impactful. Through our QSP, we unlock the wisdom of the Quran and shape a future rooted in faith, knowledge, and strong moral and ethical values.]
Hifz with Understanding
The Hifz with Understanding program offers a unique blend of Quranic memorization and comprehension for students from Grade 6 to 8. In this course, children not only memorize the Holy Quran but also learn its true meaning and how to apply its teachings in their daily lives. Alongside Quranic education, students study subjects including English, Urdu, Mathematics, and Science — ensuring a balanced approach to both Deen and Dunya.
HIfz with Understanding Program focuses on concept-based learning, replacing traditional rote memorization with critical thinking, 21st-century skills, and activity-based instruction. The program features a homework-free model, teacher-led learning, interactive lectures, and digital integration—all aligned with Pakistan’s Single National Curriculum (SNC).
Alhamdulillah, a number of students have already completed their Hifz through this program. The goal is to nurture young Muslims who not only know the Quran by heart but live by its guidance — becoming strong believers, thoughtful learners, and compassionate future leaders of the Ummah. This integration of Quranic wisdom with contemporary studies builds confident, capable, and character-driven individuals ready to serve humanity.

Community Development Program
A significant boost to our mission came from the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which included ‘Citizenship, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship’ as a mandatory subject in its Education Policy 2024–2040.

Youth Leadership Program
From Impeccable Values to Aspiring
Visionary Leaders
Youth Leadership Program (YLP) is designed to engage school, college, and university students and develop their leadership skills for future roles in society. With numerous educational institutions, we aim to make a significant impact through Quranic education courses combined with leadership training.
We are establishing Student Societies for school and college students to provide platforms for character-building activities and personal growth. Our goal is to shape the future generations by fostering leadership qualities and civic responsibility among students.
To achieve this, we have developed dynamic outdoor engagement programs for physical leadership training and immersive, hands-on sessions for intellectual development, empowering youth to excel as strong leaders.
Our transformative outdoor engagement campaigns unleash the full potential within young minds. By immersing participants in nature, we empower them to:

- Develop leadership skills inspired by the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH)
- Enhance creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Build a sense of community and social responsibility

Guiding Those Who Guide Generations
Our future depends not only on educated children, but on the strength of those who guide them. Recognizing the vital influence of parents and teachers, Character Education Foundation (CEF) launches its Mentor Development Program (MDP)—a powerful initiative designed to transform traditional educators into inspiring mentors. MDP empowers adults to move beyond the role of an educator and become true mentors—nurturing both hearts and minds with purpose, vision, and strong values.
Through specialized training, practical tools, and comprehensive courses, MDP equips parents and teachers with the skills to mentor children holistically—spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. This program is a cornerstone of CEF’s mission to build a value-driven society through character education.
With dedicated academies operational across AJ&K, MDP is shaping a new generation of mentors who will raise not only successful individuals—but morally grounded, socially responsible leaders for a brighter tomorrow.
Community Development Program (CDP)
The younger generation in Pakistan faces critical challenges: a lack of leadership, entrepreneurship, and a weakened sense of community. To address these issues and pave the way for a brighter future, Character Education Foundation (CEF) has launched its Community Development Program (CDP).
About Community Development Program (CDP):
Youth in our society face significant challenges, including a lack of leadership, a preference for job-seeking over entrepreneurship, and a diminished sense of community. These issues are interconnected: without strong leaders, there is little inspiration for others to follow; a focus on employment over entrepreneurship leads to fewer innovative solutions and job opportunities; and the absence of communal values results in social fragmentation and isolation. Recognizing these critical issues, Character Education Foundation (CEF) has launched its Citizenship, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship (CLE) program under its Community Development Program (CDP).
We believe the impact of Quran and Sunnah Program (QSP) and Character-Building Program (CBP) can be greatly enhanced by adding Community Development Program (CDP). This program is primarily focused on Citizenship, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship (CLE) Education, offering a holistic approach to empower individuals to drive positive change. By integrating citizenship education, leadership development, and entrepreneurship education, CLE equips learners with essential skills and mindsets. CLE Education operates across three key dimensions, each contributing to the core objectives of Community Development Program (CDP).
Citizenship
Citizenship education imparts the required knowledge, develop necessary skills, and nurture desired behaviors through monthly campaigns and skill development programs held by Community Development Program (CDP). Citizenship Education focuses on igniting the dream and building the capacity of students for the betterment of their locality.
Leadership
Under our CLE program leadership development enhances the student’s ability to lead, guide, and influence peers. It involves building skills, knowledge, and competencies that empower students to effectively manage a team, confront challenges and drive collective success. Leadership development focuses on training, mentoring, and practical experiences designed to cultivate essential leadership qualities such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and emotional intelligence.
Entrepreneurship
Under our CLE program entrepreneurship inculcates the capabilities in students to create, develop, and manage small businesses based on available, underutilized resources. This involves identifying opportunities, developing business plans, securing resources, and launching enterprises, often with the support of educational institutions. This will also aim to equip students with practical experience, entrepreneurial skills, and a mindset conducive to innovation and economic contribution.
Group Formation
- Separate, mixed-age groups for boys and girls from grades 6 to 12.
- Groups of 8-15 students led by elected leaders.
- A dedicated mentor at the Union Council (UC) level.
- Annual reforming of groups by head teachers from all middle, high, and higher secondary schools.
- CLE Education as a mandatory non-syllabus subject for middle-level classes.
